Why consider private speech/language teletherapy?

Busy lives and busy family schedules. Who has time to drive to a clinic for a therapy session?

Children today are digital experts. They already use online tools for success in education and speech therapy is no exception.

No sitting in the waiting room! You are right there with your child as an active participant in their therapy.
Benefits of Private Pay Teletherapy
Insurance companies need a diagnosis to pay for services.
Insurance companies have limits on how many sessions per year they will cover.
Insurance companies may not consider speech therapy "medically necessary".
Even with insurance, there are often costly deductibles and copays.

At The Networked SLP, our only limits are set by your child, all coordinated with you, the parent/caregiver. We empower children to reach their full potential. We encourage them to grow and succeed at their own pace.
Have more questions about teletherapy? Check out the American Speech Language Hearing Association factsheet demonstrating that telepractice achieves comparable functional improvements in both patient and clinician-reported outcomes—plus increased consumer satisfaction, acceptance, and adherence.

About
Meet the Therapist
Hello! I'm Colleen McGrath, a seasoned speech pathologist with over 30 years of experience. I've specialized in pediatric services for the past two decades. With a strong foundation from Missouri State University, I've honed my skills in various settings. These include teletherapy, early intervention programs, pediatric home therapy, and more.

Why Choose Teletherapy?
Over the last 11 years, I've only done teletherapy. This has made me skilled at giving effective online services. I've tailored my approach to fit each child's unique needs. This could mean addressing articulation difficulties or complex communication needs, such as alternative communication strategies. Teletherapy isn't an alternative. It's often as, or more, effective than traditional therapy.

Qualified and Committed
I have a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I'm certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). I'm licensed and insured to practice in my home state of Oklahoma. I'm also licensed in Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Alabama, Indiana, and Florida. I'm committed to staying updated with the latest research and programs. I strive to provide therapy based on evidence.

Let's Work Together
I'm passionate about helping children achieve their communication goals. I do this through a supportive and effective therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide services in an inclusive environment that respects and values the unique differences of all clients. This includes their culture, language, and individuality. Are you curious about virtual speech therapy? It could benefit your child. Reach out to me for more information.
